What is involved in a Swedish and Remedial Massage Treatment?
Swedish Massage utilises four basic strokes which are tailored to each Part of the body.  Swedish is a hugely versatile massage treatment, which can be adapted to suit the needs of the individual. For example, it may be deep and slow to encourage total relaxation of mind and body or strokes may be quicker and lighter to invigorate you if you are feeling sluggish.

Remedial Massage is designed to achieve five basic aims: Reduction of pain: an increase in range of movement; restoring appropriated balance; the enhancement of day-to-day performance, and to reduce the risk of re-injury.

Penny aims to provide an excellent massage service for each individual. Treatments are tailored according to the outcome each person wants to achieve. Penny draws upon Swedish and Remedial Techniques in all of her treatments.

Penny also offers seated acupressure massage at the clinic.

Penny is at the clinic each Friday and Saturday.

Caroline Greene, Trainee Homoeopath

Homoeopathy

Caroline is training to become a homoeopath at the Irish School of Homoeopathy in Dublin.  Since starting the course she has moved to Crieff, and in order to complete her training, will be taking patients at The Natural Clinic.  As a student she is required to practice under the supervision of a qualified homoeopath: Michael Smith IS Hom who has 25 years’ clinical, lecturing and supervisory experience.

Caroline has a long-held belief in the power of the body to heal itself.  She believes all illness stems from a basic imbalance and finding and correcting the root of this will allow the body to re-balance itself.  She has studied and experienced various forms of holistic treatment but finds Homoeopathy, which simply matches symptoms in the body to the symptoms of one remedy, remarkably powerful.

Caroline loves the way homoeopathy gives you the ability to look after your own health and is passionate about helping you to practice this simple system of medicine for your own treatment of day-to-day acute ailments, as well as helping you to address longer-standing conditions.

Caroline is a registered member with The Irish Society of Homeopaths (www.irishhomeopathy.com).  For more information about Homoeopathy please see their website or that of the British society (http://www.homeopathy-soh.org).
