Reflexology originated in China 5,000 years ago.  This is a gentle therapy where the feet will be gently worked on with massage, stroking and other techniques.  This therapy helps to reduce stress and anxiety and promotes a feeling of wellbeing.

How does it work?

There are various reflex areas in the feet which are associated with the various organs and systems in the body.  By treating the feet, we are indirectly affecting the related part of the body. Your body will be given a gentle boost, your immune sytem will be worked on, also your lymphatic system, which helps rid your body of toxins. The digestive system is worked too. After the treatment your body has a cleanse and goes through a 48 hour healing process. Pain killing endorphins are released, and so this is a useful therapy for those in pain.  This treatment aids relaxation and so eases tension in the body. This therapy has a cummulative effect and regular treatments are most beneficial.  A course of 4-6 treatments is recommended if there is a particular health issue to be addressed.
